I am a filmmaker and photographer based in Cape Town. However, I would like to call myself a “storyteller,” and photography and video are the means. Whether I am making a short film on art, photography, travelling, or recording for a client, I believe there needs to be a narrative that positively influences the world, hence the title storyteller. 

My passion for photography sprung from years of travel, hiking and exploring. Before I bought my first camera in 2006, I always collected photos digitally, often printing them and sticking them on my wall as a student. They were a world into which I escaped in thought, imagination and dream. A few years into photography as a hobby, my love for nature compelled me to do landscape photography. After realising that my audience didn’t know how I took photos, I started my behind-the-scenes videos on YouTube to take them on a journey along with me.  A few years later, I found myself fully immersed in expressing myself through short films on photography, art, and travel and showcasing people’s lives.

Although my videos show city life and the hustle and bustle, which I also love, my true joy lies in nature’s colours.  Its sounds are music to my soul. Getting lost in the world's miracles is my escape and my serenity.

I am at a stage in my life where I believe that I need to give back to the world, especially to the youth, in terms of my knowledge and experiences. Film and photography are some of the best ways to communicate and teach, and as I continue my life journey, I wish to travel the reaches of the world and immortalize my experiences through my work.
